The Cartersville Wrestling Program is inviting everyone to attend the Colonel Harvey Robinson Hurricane Duals here at Cartersville High School. This year’s teams include Armuchee, Calhoun, Cartersville, Chattooga, Rockmart, and Pickens County in the High School Division. In the Middle School Division, we have Cartersville, Chattooga, Eastbrook, and Pickens County.

Our Duals tournament is named after Colonel Harvey Robinson, who became the first Individual State Wrestling Champion in school history in 1980. He was also a Varsity Football Player, and voted as Mr. CHS by his peers. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the BSA in High School. After graduation he joined the Army has earned the rank of Colonel. He was formerly the Commander of the European Forces and has served several tours of duty in the multiple conflicts in the Middle East. Colonel Robinson is currently stationed at the Pentagon and was present on 9/11/2001 where received a meritorious service commendation for his heroic actions on that terrible day.

“Wrestling taught me that it is not over, until it’s over…NEVER GIVE UP!”
