Cartersville tied the school record for most consecutive wins with a 35-21 victory at Sandy Creek. The last time the Canes won 23-straight games was between the 1991 and 1992 seasons.

Trevor Lawrence threw three TD passes and Trey Creamer scored two on the ground to pace the Hurricane offense. Defensively, Evan Williams had a fumble recovery and an interception to help hold off the Patriots in the second half.

The Canes are now 8-0, 4-0 in Region 5AAAA and travel to Chapel Hill this Friday for a 7:30 meeting with the Panthers.
