Cartersville scored 28 points in each of the first two quarters en route to a 68-0 win over Troup County in the Region 5AAAA Championship Game at Weinman Stadium. Trey Creamer had a Senior Night to remember scoring six touchdowns for the Canes, five on the ground and one through the air.

The Hurricanes won their 5th-consecutive region championship, the first time that feat has been accomplished in school history. Cartersville also finished the regular season 10-0 for the 4th time in the past five seasons. The Hurricanes are 49-1 in regular season games since 2012.

Cartersville will host Chestatee in the first round of the GHSA State Football Playoffs Friday, November 11 at 7:30 PM at Weinman Stadium.
